In ECA-series potentiostats, we use four high-resolution analog-to-digital converters in interleaved mode to maximise both sampling rate and signal-to-noise ratio.
This enables fast and precise acquisition, allowing detection of transients and ultra-low currents down to the picoamp range, even in the presence of high background currents.
In the figure below, ~10 pA current steps are clearly resolved over a 19.6 nA background. Ideal for:

• High-impedance materials
• Low-level current detection in the presence of leakage
