A few questions that come up often. For anything else, contact us.
Does Studio need an internet connection?
No. Studio runs fully offline once installed. The only step that needs internet is downloading firmware updates and the installer itself. Everyday measurement, autosave, and export all work without a connection.
Can I use my own electrodes?
Yes. The banana electrode cable accepts any standard electrode by clipping onto its leads. The ECA-LP1's Lemo cable plugs into Lemo connectors directly; for non-Lemo electrodes, use the included banana adapters or fit a Lemo-to-banana adapter cable.
For Sensitify-supplied screen-printed and interdigitated fixtures, see cell & electrode setup.
Can I open a .stfy file on a different ECA model?
Yes. Studio opens the file and replays the recorded data on any model. Re-running the same experiment on a different model is a separate question: it works only when the new model supports the technique. For example, a chronopotentiometry file recorded on the ECA-LP1 opens fine on the ECA-Zero, but the Zero can't reproduce it because it lacks the galvanostat mode. See device quickstart for which model supports what.
